My name is Erin and I am going to tell you a little bit about the girl behind the blog.
I wear lots of different hats all day, everyday. I am a blogger, artist, occupational therapist, wife, daughter, dog mom, sister, and friend. My mission here at Artfully Occupied is to create and craft a skillful lifestyle. That means I am here to share clever and skilled ways of filling up time and space. I believe that happiness comes from engaging in activities and occupations that are meaningful. To me, there is nothing quite as satisfying as growing and developing a new skill.
As an occupational therapist, I work with children in the school system setting to increase participation and independence at school. I love creating and setting up fun activities that help students with acquisition of educational, developmental, and functional skills.
As an artist, I am a painter by nature. My favorite mediums are alcohol inks and acrylics. I find inspiration from nature as well as eye-catching colors, shapes, and textures.
As a dog mom, I have a Great Pyrenees named Teddy who frequently sneak his way into my blog. We are a registered therapy dog team. Teddy loves meeting new people and showing them how great big dogs can be.
I am also blessed with wonderful family and friends whom support all of my artful and creative endeavors.
